English and Dutch depots play annual fixture at The Valley

The second weekend in May saw Andrews Sykesโ€™ Charlton depot lock horns with our Dutch colleagues in a friendly football match at The Valley. Following last yearโ€™s successful encounter against the Netherlands branches of the company, a second clash was set up with our English side looking to avenge a narrow 3-2 defeat.

Flying in from Rotterdam on the morning of the game, the Dutch side (including one Belgian!) held their hosts to a 2-2 draw before eventually triumphing on penalties. The contest was played in good spirit, with all members of both squads enjoying dinner and drinks together post-match.

Special guest Jim Davidson kindly put in an appearance, presenting the man of the match awards and, unfortunately, a runners-up trophy to the captain of the Charlton branch! Weโ€™d like to thank Jim for taking the time to join in with the celebrations and being part of what was once again a great day for all involved.
